Viking Names Mira in Italy
Viking has officially named its newest 998-guest ocean ship, Viking Mira, during a traditional ceremony in Venice, Italy, marking the latest addition to its small-ship ocean fleet. Rebecca “Becky” Webb Wilson served as the ship’s ceremonial godmother, highlighting her background in law, the arts and philanthropy, while the vessel begins its inaugural program in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

The methanol-ready ships are designed specifically for the UK market and will operate across key European waterways, supporting TUI’s planned fleet growth from six to ten vessels by 2028.
