Carnival Sunshine
Carnival · Sunshine-class
Originally launched as Carnival Destiny in 1996, Carnival Sunshine was the world's first passenger ship to exceed 100,000 gross tons and held the title of world's largest cruise ship until 1998. The vessel underwent a comprehensive $155 million refurbishment in 2013, modernizing its public spaces while retaining the original hull and technical systems, and was renamed Carnival Sunshine to reflect its transformation into a contemporary Fun Ship.
